Happy April! I can’t believe we’re half way through the fourth month already! Summer is almost here!
Sooooooo TADAAAAA! A new children’s book! 😀 The Cloud Princess is a story that is very special to me, which I will get into later. This story is about a Cloud Princess whose tears fall to earth and become a source of light and magic to kids all over the world. Age range is kindergarten to 2nd grade. Okay, for the fun backstory:
So The Cloud Princess is a special story to me because it’s a story I wrote in my free time in 8th grade. Coming back from school, I was really bored because it was one of the rare days I didn’t have any homework but all of my friends did. I felt a burning heaviness in my mind to write, so I whipped out some random scratch graph paper from math class and began to write. After about thirty minutes, I was done. I was amazed at this fairytale-like story! I’ve always wanted to try my hand at fairytales, and this was born! Looking back, it was a gift from the Lord because I was satisfied with it on the first try. Luckily, I wrote it down somewhere before I lost that precious piece of scrap paper 😦
I think this story goes to show how much you can do when you spend some time doing what you love. No matter what it is, if you put your heart into it, God will bless you and use your gifts and talents to bless those around you!
If you were in my Spanish 2 class in high school, this story will seem familiar. I used this for a Spanish project in school, translating the story and presenting it to the class! As a result, I am excited to share that a Spanish version as well as a Chinese version will be available later this year! 😀 NOT ONLY THAT, but Bibi will also be available in Spanish and Chinese soon! ^_^ These will be my first multilingual books, so I’m SUPER EXCITED!!
