Hi everyone!
Sorry for the late update… May is always a busy, busy time for students! This year was especially busy because it was AP season, and not only that, graduation!
Yes, I’ve officially graduated HIGH SCHOOL and will be attending UC Berkeley! This would not have been possible without GOD! Cal’s admission letter was a true surprise for me, since I had been planning to attend another university, but I believe that God has been training me for Cal all throughout high school, and I’m SO EXCITED to see where he will take me next!! π Graduation is such a deep, profound moment. It’s the time when you reflect on where you’ve been and where you want to go next. I’ve had many emotional days since then, thinking about all I’m leaving behind, but also everything I will encounter in this new stage in life. I will definitely REALLY miss seeing my family every single day, but I feel so comforted knowing that they’re there for me always, especially since I won’t be too far from home. π May I continue to walk in the way God leads me!
Updates since then: I’ve been working on the multilingual versions of my children’s books! I promise it will be available soon in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish! π
I’ve also been working on a new series! I’m sure I said this in my last post, and I know it’s taking a while, but I’ve found so many resources to browse through (thanks to many friends, whom I will mention in the acknowledgements so PLEASE READ THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS T_T). I admit, I haven’t been working on it as often as I would like because of family business and the fact that summer is always a busy time for me, but I thank you all for your constant support and excitement! Your excitement makes me excited too!
Many people have asked me since I graduated: Will you keep writing? The answer is: YES! It’s always a dream of mine to live in the imaginative world, and it’s an even greater dream to connect with the youth around me, so I will always do my best to write in hopes of inspiring and reaching the young people in the world to pursue their own dreams. I encourage you to never let a new stage in life stop you from continuing a passion!
I would also like to take some time to appreciate my cousin: Ashley Chen! She takes AMAZING photos and took A BUNCH OF BEAUTIFUL GRADUATION PHOTOS FOR ME! π Please check out her website: ashography.myportfolio.com and her IG: @ashography.sj! SHE IS AMAZING! I’d also like to appreciate my mom, who always takes a massive amount of photos. I sometimes don’t like it in the moment, but afterwards, I only have gratitude for how many moments she’s captured π Appreciate your moms!
There is so much more I want to say about this transition, but there is also only so much words can do to express emotion. “I walk, but God leads” was on my graduation cap because of how true it has held for me especially during high school. Trust God, and He will lead you where you are meant to go: somewhere absolutely amazing where you will make a difference. I read a letter I wrote to myself in 7th grade last night, and I was so touched by how innocent I was back then XD I was worried I would turn into a rebel, so I gave myself a bunch of advice on what NOT to do. The biggest one was to stay close with God, and I am determined to do so. There’s nothing better than trusting a God who loves you more than anything you could ever dream of!
That’s all for now! I hope you all are staying safe, doing well, staying out of the heat, and having fun! I’ve been dancing more frequently with my sisters, and it’s GREAT! π
omg!! congrats hannah!!!!
